Type 2 Diabetes symptoms appear in a human being very slowly. The reality is that a person might be suffering from type 2 diabetes even without knowing. Here are some common type 2 diabetes symptoms, which a person might experience in type 2 diabetes.
- Increased thirst: This is one of the most common type 2 diabetes symptoms. In type 2 diabetes, as there is an increase in the blood sugar levels in the bloodstream of a human being, there is a lot of water absorption from the tissues. This absorption of fluids from the tissues, leave an individual thirsty and hence, he/she has shows increased thirst.
- Frequent urination: A person suffering from Type 2 diabetes also experiences frequent urination. This is mainly because; the person drinks more water than usual and hence urinates more than usual.
- Fatigue: This is also one of the most common type 2 diabetes symptoms. When the cells in a human body don’t get enough glucose, the person gets tired easily and also feels irritated and experiences fatigue.
- Increased hunger: This is one of the most common among all the symptoms of type 2 diabetes, which a person experiences in Type 2 diabetes. As there is no sufficient amount of insulin to move sugar in the cells of the human body, the organs and the muscles deplete due to lack of energy. This in turn triggers excessive hunger in the person.
- Weight Loss: A person suffering from type 2 diabetes, despite eating too much to relieve hunger loses weight. This is mainly because; the body utilizes the alternative sources of energy in fats and muscles due to the unavailability of glucose. Furthermore, the person also loses the remaining glucose through urine.
- Frequent infections and slow-healing sores: People suffering from type 2 diabetes often observe this type 2 diabetes symptom. People who suffer from this type of diabetes often take months to heal their sores and develop frequent infections.
- Darkened Skin: One of the many type 2 diabetes symptoms includes patches of darkened skin. A person suffering from this type of diabetes often develops velvety skin in the creases and folds of the body. This mostly happens around body areas such as neck and armpits and is known as acanthosis nigricans. It mostly occurs due to the insulin resistance.
- Blurred vision: High levels of sugar in blood, take away all the fluids from the eyes of a person suffering from type 2 diabetes and hence, the person is unable to focus clearly and has a blurring vision.
